The Koryu School of Ikebana was established in 17th century Japan, the Edo era. Practiced by Samurai warriors, Koryu Seika style of Ikebana emphasises not only the arrangement of blooms, stems and leaves, but shape, line and form. Ikebana is a creative art that has rules governing arrangements and composition. Ikebana is not only enjoyable to look at, but also expresses spiritual principles based on harmony, composition, peace of mind and serenity.
